Important highlights from MSPS rules and regulations

Rule 1.1: Eligibility for Membership

Any employee of a contributing company who has completed the probationary period and is between 18-50 years of age shall be eligible for membership.

Rule 1.2: Application for Membership

Applications for membership must be submitted within 30 days of employment through the employer on the prescribed form.

Rule 2.1: Employee Contribution Rate

Every member shall contribute not less than 8% of gross remuneration as defined in the EPF Act.

Rule 2.2: Employer Contribution Rate

Every contributing company shall pay not less than 12% of the gross remuneration of each member employee.

Rule 3.1: Retirement Benefits

A member who retires on or after attaining the age of 55 years shall be entitled to the full amount standing to their credit.

Rule 3.2: Death Benefits

In case of death of a member, the full amount standing to their credit shall be paid to the nominated beneficiaries.
